Meet the Team
Anne Imber is a Co-Founder of Type 1 To Go. Inspired by her son Tristan who was diagnosed at the age of 12 in 2009. Navigating Middle School, High School and entering College with Type 1 diabetes, the family has created Type 1 To Go Teen, a Teen Talk to share what they learned in this process.
Anne is also the Co-Founder of Cy Fair Type One Connection, a school advocacy and support group for Type 1 Diabetic students in their school district of 115,000 students. It is one of the largest school districts in Texas. With her team, she works with school district administration to provide improved diabetes support. Empowering families with education, Anne teaches families about 504 Plans, Extracurricular Activities and standardized testing with Type 1.
Brandon Green, diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 10, Brandon played a wide variety of sports through High School. He played football for Rice University and went on to play NFL football with the Jacksonville Jaguars St. Louis Rams and ended his career with the Seattle Seahawks. After his professional football career, Brandon coached Middle School and High School sports. He brings an amazing perspective to sports and extracurricular activities with Type 1 Diabetes.
Brandon’s older brother was diagnosed with Type 1 at the age of 16, four years after Brandon. Understanding the sibling factor and dynamics on the family is one of the things that motivates Brandon to help families upon diagnosis. As a motivational speaker and blogger, Brandon encourages kids that they can do anything with diabetes.
Jamie Jonas supports Type 1 To Go as Chief Operating Officer and brings over 25 years within the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry. Fifteen of those years were dedicated to diabetes products, and Jamie is excited to bring her expertise to simplifying critical information for busy parents and T1Ds on the go. She is inspired everyday by the courage families show as they face this disease.
